Designed for large furniture and cabinet workshops, this is a high performance downdraft table. The FT-1600 is a large version of the FT-1000 and has two 375W induction motors driving large diameter impellors creating an air movement of 6,100 m³/hr. This air flow is drawn through the table surface and through a rear upstand inlet along the whole width of the table, thus capturing the fine dusts created. The rubber grommets on the surface protect the work as well as providing an air gap under the work. Hinging side upstands can be laid down to allow longer workpieces to be worked on. There are four pleated filters to capture the dust in front of the impellor, ensuring clean air returning into the workshop, whilst a tray in the bottom of the cabinet is easily drawn out for emptying. Perfect for hand sanding, but should not be regarded as a substitute for extracting from power sanders at source. Easy to maintain with no tools being required. Extremely quiet in use and will provide a safe, clean working environment. N.B. for wood dust use only
